Two local men accused in race war plot ordered held without bond

Two local men who authorities say plotted to shoot up or bomb synagogues and black churches waived their preliminary hearings in federal court Thursday, and a judge ordered they remain held because of their ties to a white supremacist group and potential danger to the community. U.S. Magistrate Judge Roderick C. Young found there was sufficient probable cause that Robert C. Doyle, 34, of Chester and Ronald Beasley Chaney III, 33, of Henrico County committed the offenses for which they are charged after both men waived their preliminary hearings in U.S. District Court in downtown Richmond.
